I hope that this newsletter finds you all in good health, having enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with your families. I am looking forward to seeing you all again this week, but I have to admit that I am moving a bit more slowly than usual. Most of our family enjoyed very good health this Christmas, I, however, decided to try out a little bit of everything that was going around for the last month and spent most of Christmas break incapacitated. It got to the point last week where my son asked me, “Mom are you EVER going to get better?” LOL. Thanks to the wonders of modern medicine and some antibiotics, I am! I hope none of you were as unfortunate to spend your Christmas break that way, however, from what I’ve seen on facebook and heard from friends and families is that it does all seem to be “going around” right now. Here’s looking forward to good health from here on out this new year!
Lessons begin again this week for everyone from preschool Sunrise class to private piano lessons and we will be off and running with lots of exciting things to look forward to. Our piano classes and lessons will begin this new year by looking at composing and how that differs from improvising and each student will be given the opportunity and tools to compose their very own piece of piano music over the next 5-6 weeks.
The next couple of weeks will involve our regular lessons at their regularly scheduled times, except for the week of January 20-27 when I will be away with my family in Cuba. Be sure to mark your calendars so you don’t make an unnecessary trip that week OR drop your child off for their private lesson and drive away–sounds funny, I know, but it actually has happened before!
Well, enjoy this final weekend of Christmas break–see you soon!
